whose kindnesses and community reached far, far beyond our area – literally around the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n Cynthia Criley Williams died last week. In the words of another grand woman, Darby Worth, Cynthia was a “Good old gal. She had a good run.”<\/p>\n She leaves a legacy of a loving family and caring friends, gracious parties and easy generosity.<\/p>\n People often came from across the globe to attend her parties, the same goes for Cynthia’s memorial. \nDaughter Molly is one the world’s most caring veterinarians; Molly’s husband Tom is a celebrated plein air painter from Shropshire. Daughters Bee and Honey are known for their graciousness, hospitality and generosity as well. Son John Williams of Davis is perhaps California’s most respected water expert, as well as a very incisive thinker. The notable Civil Rights advocate Richard Criley, was Cynthia’s brother.<\/p>\n
