Finally-The First Official Recognition that Cell-Phones Could Cause Malignant Brain Cancer

Landmark News !

This morning a panel of the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), changed their position declaring now that Radiofrequency Electromagnetic Fields (of cell-phones and by association WiFi, cordless phones and Smartmeters) can possibly cause a malignant type of Brain Cancer. The formal classification is “2B.”

The New York Times reports –

Louis Slesin, editor of Microwave News, a newsletter that focuses on nonionizing radiation, said in an e-mail that the fact that the W.H.O.’s cancer panel had expressed concern had the potential to change the debate about the health risks of cellphones. “It’s a wake-up call for the telecom industry and for the U.S. government to take cellphone radiation seriously,” he said. “The first step should be limiting the use of cellphones by children.”

The panel didn’t do any new research, they just reviewed the same research that I have been studying for HOPE for the past six months and came to the same conclusion.

I urge you call Assemblyman Monning and let Bill and his staff know of this landmark news.

Monterey: 649-2832
Santa Cruz: 425-2570

To Do:
Please consider asking Assemblyman Monning to introduce ASAP a bill that requires an Environmental Impact Report before any more “Smart”meters are installed.

Personal Alternatives:
There’s a lot of misguided advice about how to protect yourself from the radio frequency radiation.

Good – Use Speakerphone or Text Message options so the cell-phone transmitter is a few feet away from your head.

Good – Wired-headset (earphone) – has no radio transmitter.

Good – Ear phone with tube like a stethoscope (no wires or radio transmission) Example: AirTube Headset

Good – Turn off cell phone when not in use. Consider putting it somewhere else than in your pants pocket – NOT near your family jewels.

Bad – Bluetooth. The radio frequency radiation of the two are close enough that both were included in the WHO decision. Yet, for no valid reason some people believe they are different.

Bad – low-powered cell phones because they give you a false sense of security while delivering a similar amount and type of radio frequency radiation.
