Now thanks to the anti-constitutional &#8220;Patriot&#8221; Act a <strong>FISA Court judge (<\/strong><strong>Roger Vinson<\/strong><strong>) was discovered secretly ordering a major phone company (Verizon) to turn over all of YOUR phone records to NSA.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>&#8220;<strong>All government without the consent of the governed is the very definition of slavery<\/strong>&#8221; &#8211; Jonathon Swift, &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Drapier's_Letters\">Drapier&#8217;s Letters<\/a>&#8220;, 1724<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This massively anti-constitutional privacy-invasion program only came into a strong light because of a <strong>secret court decision<\/strong> leaked to England&#8217;s Guardian newspaper &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/world\/2013\/jun\/06\/nsa-phone-records-verizon-court-order\"><strong>NSA collecting phone records of millions of Verizon customers daily.<\/strong>&#8220;<\/a> (This Presidential program to spy on phone calls of millions of Americans was first revealed in a 2006 USA-Today article by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.motherjones.com\/kevin-drum\/2015\/06\/edward-snowden-didnt-expose-nsas-bulk-phone-collection-program-leslie-cauley-did\">Leslie Cauley<\/a><\/strong> &#8220;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/usatoday30.usatoday.com\/news\/washington\/2006-05-10-nsa_x.htm\">NSA has massive database of Americans&#8217; phone calls.<\/a><\/strong>&#8220;)<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Exclusive: <strong>Top secret court order requiring Verizon to hand over all call data shows scale of domestic surveillance under Obama<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><em><strong>&#8220;The order, signed by Judge Roger Vinson, compels Verizon to produce to the NSA electronic copies of &#8220;all call detail records or &#8216;telephony metadata&#8217; created by Verizon for communications between the United States and abroad&#8221; or <\/strong><\/em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><strong>&#8220;wholly within the United States, <\/strong><\/em><strong>including local telephone calls&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">&#8220;<strong>including local telephone calls&#8221; !!! <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Why is <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>NSA<\/strong> collecting your metadata important? How long have phone records been collected by this program?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nA. At least 7 to 12 years; <strong>Seven years<\/strong>, since 2006 according to <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>Senator Dianne Feinstein<\/strong> and more likely 12 years, since <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/nsa-has-been-collecting-us-phone-data-since-2001-2013-6\">2001 according to USAToday and Bloomberg News<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Sen. Are every phone company&#8217;s records collected ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A. The only public evidence is the Court order for Verizon phone records. However security experts agree that the <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>NSA<\/strong> program would be worthless without records from all the major phone companies. <em><strong>No official is denying that the records from all phone companies are collected.<\/strong><\/em> USA Today reports that <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>ATT<\/strong> and <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>Bell South<\/strong> are doing the same thing.<\/p>\n<p>Q. <strong>Who knew about this?<\/strong><br \/>\nA. Presidents <strong>Bush and Obama<\/strong>\u00a0(as well as hundreds to thousands of <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>NSA<\/strong> staff). The President and <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>NSA<\/strong> claim they &#8220;briefed&#8221; the entire US Senate, but some Senators are hopping mad now that they know what is going on.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Sen. Saxby Chambliss: &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/blogs\/post-politics\/wp\/2013\/06\/06\/transcript-dianne-feinstein-saxby-chambliss-explain-defend-nsa-phone-records-program\/\">This has been going on for seven years under the auspices of the FISA authority and every member of the United States Senate has been advised of this.<\/a>&#8220;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Q. <strong>How long does NSA keep your data?<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> A. Permanently; forever.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Q. <strong>Is it Constitutional?<\/strong><br \/>\nA. <strong>Clearly No.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>No American government agency can collect information on you without your consent unless and until you are convicted of, or arrested for, a crime, or if there is some actual and specific physical evidence shown to a Judge that you are suspected of a crime.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>This program directly and severely violates the privacy provisions of the Fourth Amendment (protecting you against unreasonable (and secret) Search and Seizure) and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Fifth_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution\">Fifth Amendment (protecting you against self incrimination<\/a>).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>NSA<\/strong> and its other secret agencies <strong>falsely claim<\/strong> &#8220;<em><strong>collecting<\/strong><\/em>&#8221; your information is constitutional because they don&#8217;t &#8220;read&#8221; or use it until you are suspected of a crime.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Their data is not being looked at. <strong>Their data is in a database which can only be looked at<\/strong> [with a court order]. &#8211; Congresswoman Jane Harman, <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>CNN<\/strong> June 11, 2013&#8243;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Thus your privacy is &#8220;protected.&#8221; Right? . . .<\/p>\n<p><strong>No &#8211; Wrong !<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Video Cameras in Your Shower &#8211; &#8220;But we won&#8217;t look at them.&#8221;<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>That&#8217;s the equivalent of <strong>NSA secretly installing video cameras in your shower and bedroom<\/strong> &#8211; &#8220;but we won&#8217;t look at the photographs until you are suspected of a crime.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2013\/06\/11\/opinion\/rowley-nsa-surveillance\/index.html\">The threat to democracy lies not only in the evisceration of the Fourth Amendment&#8217;s <strong>prohibition of unreasonable searches<\/strong> and the Fifth Amendment&#8217;s <strong>guarantee of due process<\/strong>, <strong>right against self-incrimination and coerced confessions<\/strong> and other rights that form the backbone of the criminal justice system, but also in <\/a><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2013\/06\/11\/opinion\/rowley-nsa-surveillance\/index.html\">eroding freedom of the press, seeing journalists and reporters as &#8220;aiding and abetting&#8221; the criminal telling of government secrets<\/a><\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2013\/06\/11\/opinion\/rowley-nsa-surveillance\/index.html\">. Secrets, by the way, that shouldn&#8217;t even be secret.&#8221; &#8211; Coleen Rowley, FBI special agent and legal counsel, Whistleblower &#8211; on CNN<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>If your Congresswoman or Congressman cares even faintly about your privacy and security they will immediately :<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Explicitly Revoke authority of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nsa\">NSA<\/a> (and all other US Clandestine agencies) to collect(1), store, use or read communication information on any US citizen not convicted of, or charged with a crime.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Make it a crime for NSA and any government employee to collect, store, use or read communication information on any US citizen not convicted of, or charged with a crime &#8212; unless it was done by accident.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Revoke the FISA Court&#8217;s Secret Authority.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>4. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crf-usa.org\/america-responds-to-terrorism\/the-patriot-act.html\">Revoke the Patriot Act<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Wholly delete all records collected by this anti-constitutional program !<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.contactingthecongress.org\/\">Call your Congress-wo\/man Now &#8211; Click here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>and <strong>there needs to be a serious penalty for anyone who does this<\/strong>, &#8212;\u00a0 to <strong>&#8220;chill&#8221; (severely discourage) all government staff<\/strong> them from even dreaming of doing this again &#8212;<\/p>\n<p><strong>6. Prosecute Criminal Indictments on every government employee who designed, created, implemented and defended this outrageous violation of every innocent American&#8217;s privacy &#8211; starting with current <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/James_Clapper\">Director of National Intelligence James Clapper<\/a> caught lying to Congress about this on national television and refusing to correct his bald-faced lie for months. The <strong>New York Times<\/strong> reported on this in 2005 &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2005\/12\/16\/politics\/16program.html?ex=1150347600&amp;en=f8d5ab00bd0fd8fb&amp;ei=5087&amp;excamp=GGGNwiretaps&amp;_r=0\">Bush Lets U.S. Spy on Callers Without Courts<\/a>&#8221; after <strong>sitting on the story for a year.<\/strong> However, this article only discussed getting data from a few hundred to a few thousand calls &#8211; not hundreds of millions of calls.
